Editing your center settings

Where to find it

In the left menu, under Settings, click Center settings. Only directors see this page. It always opens your own center.

The page has one form and one Save changes button at the bottom. Nothing is saved until you click it.

How to update your center's profile

1. In the Profile section, click Upload logo (or Replace logo if you already have one) and pick an image. A preview appears straight away.
2. To take the logo off, tick Remove logo.
3. Check the Name of your center. It is the only required field.
4. Click Save changes.

The logo must be a PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP image of 2 MB or less. The profile is how your center appears across Hi Kiddo and on invoices.

How to update your contact details

In the Contact section you can fill in:

• Address
• Phone
• Email

All three are optional, but they are printed on every invoice so families can reach you. If your center's access is ever suspended, the phone number is also shown to teachers and parents so they can call you. Your address is also part of the first step of the setup guide.

Click Save changes when you are done.

How to set your opening hours

The Opening hours section lists every day of the week, Monday to Sunday.

1. Tick a day to mark it as open. Two time boxes appear: the first is when you open, the second when you close.
2. Untick a day to mark it as Closed.
3. Click Save changes.

If you have never set your hours, the form suggests Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00, with the weekend closed. Your hours are shown to families and staff in the Hi Kiddo app.

For one-off days off, such as summer holidays, use Closures instead of changing your opening hours.

How to turn messaging on or off

In the Features section, the Messaging switch controls whether parents and staff can message each other in the app.

1. Click the switch to turn it on or off.
2. Click Save changes.

When messaging is off, it is hidden in the app. Past conversations are kept and come back if you turn it on again. See Messaging for how conversations work.

About this center

On the right of the page, the About this center panel shows a quick summary:

• Children: how many children your center has. Click the number to open the children list.
• Classrooms: how many classrooms you have. Click the number to open the classroom list.
• Accounts: how many accounts belong to your center (staff and parents).
• Member since: when your center was created in Hi Kiddo.
• Center ID: your center's number, handy if you contact Hi Kiddo support.

Good to know

• Only directors can change these settings. Teachers and parents never see this page.
• The settings apply to your own center only. You cannot pick another center here.

Troubleshooting

My logo won't upload. Check the file is a PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP image and no bigger than 2 MB. SVG files are not accepted.

The setup guide still says "Add your address and opening hours". Make sure the Address box is filled in and click Save changes.

I changed the hours but nothing happened. Remember to click Save changes at the bottom of the page. A confirmation message appears once it is saved.
